On their way to the gate to meet their transfer back to Johannesburg, our safari vehicle got well and truly bogged down in the mud… dig it out, or make another plan? The plan? A helicopter ride! WOW … what a start to 2026! Mother Nature showed u WOW … what a start to 2026! Mother Nature showed us just how powerful she could be! We are thankfully still fully operational and welcoming our guests, some of our roads have been waterlogged but game drives continue to go out and sightings have been special, from lions, rhino’s, buffalo, elephants, leopard and not to forget our plains game and birds that are all welcoming the end of the rain. From the chaos comes a certain beauty as the bush has transformed into a place of magnificent colours and flowing rivers. It has been a once in a lifetime experience for our guest and will continue to be so for awhile as they too witness the bush in its full glory with rivers flowing We are so very grateful that we continue to operate and to share our very special place with our guests. Our thoughts go out to all those that have sustained damage, but just like the bush that bounces back and readjusts it won’t be long till all that have suffered great loses will rise again!
